  3. Treasurer's Report – The current balance has decreased due to trophy engraving and the Awards Night. However, subscriptions are now due. Paul Stead would like to leave a spare cheque book with another committee member, but 2 signatures will still be needed..
  4. Mens/Ladies Captain's Report – The men and ladies ran in the league XC races at Dudley. The final mens Birmingham League XC race at Stafford, and the final ladies league race at Cheltenham are on 11th February. There have been big turnouts at the Parkrun, especially the ‘smackdown’ event. Men and ladies also ran in the ‘Not the Roman 9’, and Dave Fawkner ran a 45 miles ultrarace, and Dave and Corinna O’Connor ran in the 2 day 66 miles Pilgrim Challenge. The Midland relays are on 31st March.
  5. Social Secretary Report – The Awards Party on 21/1/2012 was at Jaguar, and it was a fantastic evening. Many thanks to Corinna O’Connor for organising a great event. 90 people attended, an increase of 50%. There were some great gold, silver and bronze outfits, great food, music and dancing, wonderful singing from Kevin Coughlan and Bob Adams and Jack Langman’s presentation of the awards. Kevin has invited members to attend his show in Kenilworth between March 17th and 24th. There is a night out for a meal at China red on Friday 24th February – cost is approx £15, and Corinna O’Connor is taking a £10 deposit. Sean O’Connor has some accommodation details for the London Marathon weekend.
  6. AGM Review - The subscription increased. There were 4 proposals – amending the London Marathon draw rules to include some marshalling and handicap helping as part of the eligible ‘race list’. – overhauling the structure of the club constitution; Roger Ladbury will liaise with Bob Adams, Bob Awcock and Tony French – rescinding the marshalling rule for the 10Km race – informally looking at start times on Wednesday training nights.
  7. 10Km Race – The race will be part of the inter-counties series and the Warks road race league on 15/7/2012. Although the formal marshalling rules were rescinded at the AGM, club members are encouraged to help at the race, and let the sub-committee know in advance. Roger Ladbury discussed estimated costs, donations and profits based on 400 entrants, and gave a general update on progress. The 10Km can be publicised at the Parkruns.
  8. Runner of the Month – January 2012: James Joyce (excellent results in XC and Parkrun).
  9. Any Other Business –
    1. Marathon Training – Clive Horton is still organising 9am Sunday training runs from Jaguar. Full details are on the club website.
    2. Parkrun Smackdown 2 – a suggested date is April 10th to get a good club turnout.
    3. Kit – the committee looked at drawings on possible club kit designs. Bob Adams has ordered more club vests.
    4. Website adverts – the committee voted against adding advert links to the website.
    5. Monkey Mascot – the Northbrook monkey mascot was named ‘Nobby’ and will accompany members to events. Photos will appear online.
