NORTHBROOK ATHLETIC CLUB COMMITTEE MEETING

held on 3rd September 2012

  1. Apologies – B. Awcock (President), M. Baker (Secretary), Andy Houston (Membership Secretary), Clive Horton (Running Advisor).
  2. Matters From Last Meeting – none
  3. Treasurer's Report – donation of £300 received from Tom Morgan. £30 received from Sphinx for loan of radios.
  4. Mens/Ladies Captain's Report – Dovedale Dipper: Paul Stead and Dave Halford. GBU Relay winners: Rob Pool, Gemma Nash & Joe Kelly. Rowheath 5k: PB for Linda Richards. Belper Rugby Rover 30k: Paul Stead. 30 members ran in Godiva 5, with 4 PB's. Enigma 20: Chris Jones. Kenilworth half-marathon: Amanda Deavy 3rd lady, Anne Hughes 1st F55. PB's for Chris Jones and Linda Richards. Midland Relays on 22 September: 15 men and 12 ladies so far committed.
  5. Social Secretary Report – Trip to Priory Theatre 7 September. Parkrun Focus 15 September. Bowling Night 28 September. Presentation Night booked for 26 January 2013.Corinna to negotiate with Rainbow Inn re a Christmas party.
  6. Runners of the Month – August 2012: Linda Richards and Chris Jones for frequent PB's at various distances.
  7. Any Other Business –
    1. Club kit - still have problems with Acorn Printing. Alix will place further order when problems resolved. Roger Ladbury to look into online ordering for club kit.
    2. Coventry half-marathon - same day as Rugby 10. Club will be providing marshals.
    3. Club gazebo - how do we carry it? John Wilson to investigate.
    4. Club vests - Bob Adams to order more vests.
    5. Rainbow store - can we share with Cov Tri? Someone to discuss with Tony French.
