NORTHBROOK ATHLETIC CLUB COMMITTEE MEETING

held on 4th February 2013

  1. Apologies – None.
  2. Matters From Last Meeting – Bob Adams welcomed the new committee elected at the AGM. Tony French discussed preparations for the Coundon Park XC race on 9/2/2013.
  3. Treasurer's Report – Amanda Deavy collected signatures for the accounts. Subscriptions are now due to be paid. There is a stock of many new vests.
  4. Mens/Ladies Captain's Report – Recent race results are on the website. The final mens league XC race is on 9/2/2013 and Northbrook are in a promotion place. The ladies will miss their final XC race to help on the day. Lyn McDonald was 1st lady at the Centurion 5 miles. Teams will be entered for the road relays, Hilly 100 and Thunder Run. These events are fully or partially subsidised by the club.
  5. Social Secretary Report –The Awards Party on 26/1/2013 at Jaguar was a great success.  Thanks to Corinna O’Connor and her father, and all helpers. Next events are a post race drink at Jaguar on 9/2/2013 after the XC race, a curry on 15/2/2013, and a park run focus on 23/2/2013.
  6. 10km Race - Roger Ladbury discussed details of the race on 14/7/2013. The sub-committee is Roger, Tony French, Shaun Flanagan, John Ralph, Kevin Coughlan and Tony Mackness. Thanks to Roger and all the sub-committee.
  7. Runner of the Month – January 2013. Mick O’Shea (consistently leading the XC team).
  8. Any Other Business –
    1. AGM review – 35 members attended at Jaguar on 23/1/2013. Minutes are available.
    2. Constitution – Roger Ladbury is reviewing the details and has received some committee feedback. Roger will create a draft soon for discussion at the next meeting.
    3. Kit Keeper – Someone is needed to look after kit and supply it to members.
    4. XC Plaques – extra plaques for the XC league cost £13 each, if required.
    5. Gazebo – the club will purchase this if funds allow.
  9. Next Meeting – Monday 4 March 2013, 8pm, at Corinna O'Connor's residence.
