NORTHBROOK ATHLETIC CLUB COMMITTEE MEETING

held on 4th November 2013

  1. Apologies – None
  2. Matters From Last Meeting –
    1. London Marathon 2014 Club Draw – 12 members were eligible for the draw. Winners were Paul McGurk, Lee Hill and Gemma Ross. Reserve is Steve Flanagan.
  3. Treasurers Report – Amanda Deavy circulated details of recent accounts, and is reconciling final 10Km race accounts with the 10Km sub-committee.
  4. Mens/Ladies Captain's Report – Recent race results are on the website. Several runners took part in the Midland road and cross country relays, and Warwick University relays. There were also many marathon runs. The 2014 Thunder Run is already full so the club will enter a similar event in September 2014 called the Joust at Holt Castle in Worcestershire. The league cross country races begin in Leamington on 9/11/2013.
  5. Social Secretary Report – Future Events are:
    1. Quiz Night at the Jag Club - Friday 29 November.
    2. Christmas event – Booked for Friday 20 December at Blue in Spon Street.
    3. Awards Presentation Night – 18 January 2014 (new date).
  6. 10k Race - The 10Km sponsors have been invited to the Awards Night. The council have now requested payment for the race road closures.:
  7. Jaguar Club Fees – Many members have paid fees but some are still to be paid. Mark Dalton has a list of paid members.
  8. Runner of Month October: Steve Turvey (3 hours 1 minute in debut marathon).
  9. Any Other Business –
    1. Kit supplies – Chris Jones has stock details, and will order hoodies for Xmas.
    2. Membership – we now have 143 paid members.
    3. Warks Road Race League AGM – Pete Fellows will attend on 11/11/2013 at Godiva club.
    4. Local Coaching Funding – Nathan Blundell has contacted the club with funding options.
    5. AGM – Jaguar function room is booked for Wednesday 22/1/2014 after training.
    6. Club Road Race Champs – Paul Stead has created a revised list of results so far.
  10. Next Meeting – Monday 2 December 2013 at 8pm at Bob Adams' residence.
