NORTHBROOK ATHLETIC CLUB COMMITTEE MEETING

  1. Apologies – J. Wilson (Men's Captain), A. Deavy (Ladies' Captain), C. O'Connor (Social Secretary), R. Ladbury
  2. Treasurer's Report – Tony Mackness showed details of the accounts.
  3. Membership – We have 141 paid members. Pete Austin has sent a resignation letter to the club.
  4. Social Secretary Report –There is a post marathon meal on 1st May at Cosmo..
  5. Mens/Ladies Captain's Report – Recent race results are on the website. Amanda has been invited to represent Coventry in the Cork Half Marathon. Teams attended the Sutton Park road relays. Club Captains still need volunteers to help on race days. The Cotswold Hilly 100 teams are available, and team captains are needed.
  6. Kit –Thanks to Tracy Morgan for ordering and distributing new club kit including track suits. Mark Dalton has sold several items of old kit.
  7. Runner of the Month – March winners – Men: Damien Pharoah - PBs Coventry half marathon, Sutton Park Relays, Coventry Parkrun. Ladies: Claudie Combelas - PBs Ashby 20, Sutton Park Relays.
  8. Any other business –
    1. Club of the Year/Myton Hospice - Northbrook were invited to the Coventry Myton Hospice as a thank you, for training Myton runners for the Coventry Half Marathon. Mark Baker and John Wilson attended.
    2. XC Handicap – It was suggested that club race could be re-introduced at Lakeview Park.
    3. 10Km race – Race entries are now open. The race is part of the Midlands championships.
    4. Summer Handicap – started on 1st April with 71 runners, followed by cakes in the bar. The July race will be moved to Wednesday 8th July, as the Warks League Ryton Pools race is on Thursday 2nd July.
    5. Good, Bad & Ugly relay – Wednesday 24th June.
    6. Race the Train – Wednesday15th July.
    7. Trophies – some people have too many trophies or the wrong trophies for 2014. Please pass the trophies to the correct winners – Bob Awcock has a list of winners.
  9. Next Meeting – Monday 18 May 8pm.at Corinna O'Connor's residence.
