The entry fee for each child to enter is yet to be determined. No fee is payable for an accompanying adult.

  • 3. When can I enter the Fun Run?

Entries for the event take place at the Scout Hut on Washbrook Lane, Allesley, CV5 9FG on Saturday 12 July 2 - 4pm, or Sunday 13 July at 07:45 - 08:15am.
Online entries will also be possible when race entries open.
There is a small additional processing charge for online entries.
If registering in person, we encourage you to register on Saturday afternoon or early on Sunday.

  • 4. What is the maximum number of entrants permitted?

We can accommodate up to 200 children participating in the Fun Run. Our event licence has this cap in place.

  • 5. How long is the course?

The course is approximately 2km long. Children should only participate if they can complete this distance.

  • 6. Do children need to be escorted whilst on the course?

Parents/guardians remain responsible for their children at all times. The course is traffic-free and well marshalled, and children should be in sight of one or more marshals when on the course. A parent or guardian is welcome to escort their child around the course and must do so if they consider their child is unable to complete the course safely on their own. The adult will not be charged separately for doing so (however, only children can claim a Fun Run medal!)

  • 7. Can you describe the Fun Run course?

The Fun Run takes place on an out-and-back course, starting and finishing near the Scout Hut on Washbrook Lane. The course heads north along Washbrook Lane, with a turnaround point just before the junction with Hawkes Mill Lane. The outward half is slightly uphill and the return half correspondingly downhill.
Fun Run participants should keep left at all times when on the course. Washbrook Lane will be closed at both Browns Lane and Hawkes Mill Lane junctions, and also blocked off at the finish line, ensuring a traffic-free course.

  • 8. Are there any medals or mementos for finishers?

All Fun Run finishers will receive a medal. These will be available for collection from the finish area on presentation of your race number.

  • 9. Will there be any water stations on the course?

Water bottles will be provided at the finish line.
