Welcome – Joanne Evans was welcomed to the committee.
Treasurer Report – Tony Mackness discussed details of the accounts. Bob Adams and Mark Baker will cover payments admin when Tony is on holidays.
Social Events – The Awards Evening is booked at Jaguar on Saturday 22nd March 2025. Daisy Robbins discussed details and costs. Tickets are available.
Membership – So far, we have around 41 renewals since the AGM.
Health and Safety – There are no incidents to report from January 2025.
Training – Rob Richardson said that the training leaders are using ‘Connect My Club’ more now. There was a discussion about the best day for the 10km improvers training later this year.
Events – The Men’s and Women’s teams have been competing well in their cross- country leagues. The men are currently in a promotion place in division 3 of the Birmingham League but only by 1 point. We are co-hosting the final races for men and women with Sphinx at Coombe Abbey. Natasha White set a new women’s club record for the half marathon at Warwick. Kevin Spare won the Midlands XC Champs over-65 race.
Nominations for Awards Night – the committee agreed to vote for the leading veteran, and create shortlists for ‘Clubperson of the Year’ and ‘Most Improved Runner’.
Inclusion and Diversity requirements from England Athletics (EA) – Sally Eason prepared information in January 2025. It has been uploaded to EA. As a result, EA were complimentary about the latest club profile information.
Runners of the Month – The winners are Tori Boyle (improvement over the cross-country season) and Kevin Spare (Midland Cross-Country over-65 winner).
