Corby 5 - East Midlands Grand Prix Race 3 - 30 May

I raced Corby 5 on Wednesday night. Conditions were good but with a
tight ham string from 2 miles in and the monster hill at the end, I
missed out on a PB on this occasion. Still happy with 38.07, over a
minute quicker than my previous best on this course.

We were blessed with perfect running weather for this scenic course that meanders around the country roads leading out of Rugby. 
As usual, the first mile being downhill, was as fast as ever and saw many people speed off into the distance only to be taken by surprise by the next 2 miles going up (and up!)
However, this is a great race and is well marshalled and always gets a good turnout (I am sure this is nothing to do with the bar being opened at the end!).
