Men's 'A' Team 17th overall after Race 4, 2320 points
Men's 'B' Team 5th overall after Race 4, 3684 points
Northbrook hosted the final division 2 race of the Birmingham League XC season at Coundon Park. Men's Captain John Wilson was in Venice for the weekend, where floods and gondalas are commonplace, but he would have found plenty of flooded areas at Coundon Park. Our Captain would also have been pleased with another excellent turnout, with everyone giving their best efforts on a demanding course in windy conditions. There was another new name at the front as Dave Almond competed in his first league race of the season. Despite all our efforts, we finished 16th on the day, and 17th overall; so we will be relegated to division 3, together with Sphinx AC and Massey Ferguson. The B team grouped well, to finish 5th overall.
Many thanks to everyone who helped on the day by setting the course, marshalling, catering or supporting. Also, huge thanks to Bob Adams who stepped in at short notice to take the role of race organiser from Tony French (who is on the road to recovery). Next season could see another promotion push.

I ran the Fulfords Five 5 Mile race (in Exmouth) today, and finished one second slower than my PB – how annoying is that!

This was a very wet course this month with what felt like a river flooding the path at one point. Tricky conditions under foot but a very impressive performance from Lynnie resulted in 2nd placed female on the day - Spencer
