This is a well organised and becoming very popular 14.5 mile offroad race/hill climb. The first 2 miles give the indication of how hilly its going to be and left my calves and quads destroyed. By the time I got my legs back at the trig point at 5 mile I started to recover and slowly progressed through the field. Then the last 5 mile of hill climbs took their effect. But with perfect weather, views into the distant Welsh mountains, ford crossings to recover in and friendly runners all round the finish was met with a smile and a time that was 15 minutes faster than the previous year. Would thoroughly recommend, but you have to be prepared to climb some very steep hills.

The things we will do for a hoodie and a cheese batch!!!  Great turnout for Northbrook on a perfect day at what is arguably one of the areas best organised 20 mile races.  The course was the same as usual, plenty of hills and twists and turns along the route but the pockets of support and cheery marshals ensured we all got round with smiles on our faces.  Leading the way for Northbrook was Martin Winch who came in 39th overall in a superb time of 2.11, something us mere mortals can only dream of!!  However, the rest of us stuck to our plans and enjoyed the event and a few PB's were smashed along the way!!  I think we can safely say that we all enjoyed it, even the ones that had never done a 20 mile event before.  Great event, highly recommendable - Sarah

I don’t generally send in multi-sport results but the first time listed is for a 10k race, officially recognised with a UKA Race Licence, as it was also a stand-alone 10k race.  It was actually a 10k PB for me - a bit of a surprise.

This was a blustery and cool Sunday trip out to the usual "lumpy" circuit around Draycote Water. Two laps and a bit with an incredibly long finish straight that was headlong into a strong wind. PB's for both Rich and Julie.
This was Julie's first attempt at 10-mile, and she seemed to accomplish it with a smile on her face - Spencer

What a fantastic day for the club at the Coventry Half-Marathon. We were represented by 50 runners in the race, led home by Amanda Deavy who was 2nd lady overall.
Among our runners were nine pacers, who all ran disciplined splits to achieve their target times. There were also many runners from Myton Hospice who benefitted from the Sunday training sessions at Northbrook. On the course, we had ten volunteer marshals, who encouraged everyone to keep going and run great times.
The Northbrook marquee was prominent in the race village. It was a great advert for the club and publicised this year’s Northbrook 10Km race in July. Many 10Km handouts were given to finishers after the race.
Many thanks to everyone who ran, or helped on the day. It was great to be part of the Club of the Year - Mark Baker

I'd like to thank the 1:30 pacers and marshalls for their support and encouragement at today's half-marathon - it was a brilliant experience - Terry Moynihan
