Stratford Big 10k - 13 September

102 Spencer Davies   43:59 PB

Lovely sunny morning for a 10K run in Stratford. Sold it as a flat course with no significant undulation, though km 3 was up hill. The 1st km was awful as boxed in constantly and I misjudged my start position, so a 5 min km for km 1 left me facing an uphill battle. Managed to pull the difference back on 2 and 4 km's before settling down to a constant 4:22 km pace for the remainder. Fab organised event, great marshalls and a music motivated finish in front of the theatre which could be heard for the last km meant this was looking like a pb. By ducking under the 44 mins meant PB achieved and a very satisfying run back along the course to help family finish.

Tiree Ultra Marathon - 6 September

77 Claudie Combelas   7:25:22
90 Joanne Stacey   7:52:41

We ran this beautiful 35 mile race around the beaches, lanes and bogs of the Isle of Tiree in the Hebrides. Watch out for sudden showers, gusts of wind, getting stuck in a bog and running in sea water.
We'll be back - Claudie

Wolverhampton Marathon - 6 September

51 Dave Halford   3:41:30

South Cheshire 20 Mile - 6 September

62 Mark Baker   2:35:09
138 Rebecca MacLeod   3:05:14

This is probably the hilliest 20 mile race that I've seen, but there are not many Autumn 20 milers. A good test for the marathon.

Great morning on the sun bathed "undulations" around the Warwickshire countryside with so many Northbrookers putting in PB's. Others battled through early Autumn colds or injury and still pushed on with excellent performances. Hats off to Kenilworth runners for another well organised event! - Kevin
